Areas of Expertise: Forensic DNA analysis, forensic molecular biology and forensic genetics
I first became interested in science through reading the detective story of Sherlock Holmes. Currently, my laboratory studies the forensic analysis of biological evidence. The research includes two aspects. The first aspect, the primary focus of my research, is the application of forensic DNA techniques for human identification.
The second aspect of my research is forensic toxicology of postmortem samples. In particular, this study is working on the extraction methods of controlled substances from complex matrices, including biological fluids and solid tissue samples.
