Travel Grant Request

Funding is available, on a first-come-first-served basis, for PRISM students wishing to attend a conference or workshop related to their studies. Travel Grants cover transportation and housing, as well as fees for attending. You do not need to be presenting at the event in order to receive money. Please contact Dr. Edgardo Sanabria-Valentin (esanabriavalentin@jjay.cuny.edu) as soon as you know you would like to attend.

Chronicle Guidelines

All PRISM trained students who conduct research with a faculty mentor are invited to submit their profiles to be included in The Chronicle, our annual research magazine to highlight student and mentor accomplishments.  Students who received stipends are required to submit their profiles in a timely fashion.  We strongly encourage other students who have been researching without official funding to submit their profiles as well.  We consider you an integral part of the PRISM research team, regardless of funding status.

All profiles for 2015 must be to Eric Dillalogue at edillalogue@jjay.cuny.edu by March 6, 2015.  Profiles consist of three components:  a current abstract with title, a biography, and an appropriate picture.  Please review this document, PRISM Student Chronicle Information, for more details about what is required.  This funding cycle we will be taking professional headshots in the PRISM office and details about dates and times will be sent out soon.

Students will also be asked to fill out an image release form in order to be included in The Chronicle.

PRISM Peer Mentor Forms

All PRISM students must engage on Peer Mentoring activities past their third funded term. A description of your Peer Mentoring Activities (mentoring a younger student in the lab, tutoring, or being a PRISM Peer Ambassador) is a required part of your proposals (please see Proposal Submission Guidelines for more details). At the end of your Senior year, all PRISM Peer Mentors must submit a final report describing their mentoring activities and their experiences. Please follow this link to download the PRISM Peer Mentoring – Exit Form.
